When we offer the world our gratitude, grace responds and completes the circle. Our inner and outer worlds merge into one harmonious flow of existence. As we use our gratitude to join this awakening of joy and beauty around us, we also find that our life becomes easier, more fun, and more meaningful. This nurturing power of grace comes from the source of Being which sustains everyone and everything in the universe. As human beings we can consciously choose to step into this flow of grace to enrich and elevate our lives. SANSKRIT MANTRA: Twam Eva Mata (The Universe is our Mother). 1.) Describe an experience or situation that solved itself or became better on its own after you changed your attitude toward it. Life in general changed for me when I changed my attitude towards it. Although life has thrown me an unusual hand it hasn’t been the worst and I can say at some point I had a sense of entitlement about or towards things. At some point I felt like life owed me something simply because of what I’d been through. Carrying this attitude around with me was self defeating and I was forced into humility and a new perspective when life showed me that what I had been through wasn’t all that bad because things were capable of getting worse. 2.) Write down any signs of grace that have come to you recently, such as an unexpected kindness or moment of joy, a sense of perfection, or a feeling of belonging. Grace lately for me has been the places I’ve been blessed to travel. The people I’ve been fortunate enough to meet. The connections I’ve been able to make. The growth I see in myself and others. Grace is the manifestation of my dreams and the ability to offer opportunities to my peers and vice versa. Grace is the overall goodness that surrounds my life today and tomorrow even when I forget to be thankful or struggle to maintain my positivity. 3.) Cutting back on duties and demands to spend more time connecting with those you love is a wonderful way to invigorate your energy. Write down three ways you can renew your energy by appreciating what’s around you. For example, you could take a quiet walk amid the trees, view an art exhibit, or catch up with a dear friend. Spending uninterrupted time with my loved ones. Daily meditation and prayer. Taking uninterrupted time for myself, enjoying things I love and/or resting. 4.) Daily Reflection: Grace is flowing back to me even when I am undeserving. However I choose to be appreciative and acknowledge the power of grace even when I don’t see or think I can feel it. Grace is always abundant in my life and extends far beyond my reach. Grace meets me where I am and carry me further than I could have ever imagined. I am thankful for the grace given to me and I hope I am a vessel for that same grace wherever I may go.
