We’ve all had times when we’ve struggled and encountered obstacles. These outer resistances are signals from our true self that there is some inner resistance, which comes from the limiting belief that we are a separate self. These beliefs are often a sense of entitlement, selfishness, or pessimism, and they block the natural flow of gratitude and grace. As we practice gratitude, our perspective expands and we see we are not isolated at all. We are supported by the generosity of the universe in endless ways. Seeing this, our negativity, sense of entitlement, and all obstacles dissolve like morning mist with the rising sun. SANSKRIT MANTRA: Prani Dhana (My individuality expands to universality). 1.) If you were to choose one thing that you would like to be transformed in your life by grace, what would it be? If I could choose any one thing in my life to be manifested or transformed in my life by grace it would be more resources but not just any resources from anywhere, proper resources from places of good intent. 2.) List three things that add struggle to your daily life, such as stress, overworking, overscheduling, or the demands of family and friends. Demands of family and friends. Expectations of people who aren’t family or friends. Overthinking which often leads to stress. Not withdrawing and centering myself when feeling overwhelmed or disturbed. 3.) Write down the ways practicing gratitude can reduce these struggles. Practicing gratitude reduces these struggles because when you are focused on the positives and things that you can control there is no room or space to worry about that in which you cannot control. 4.) Daily Reflection: When I am feeling stressed and overwhelmed I need to make more effort to take some time to myself to just breathe. By breathing I can relax and refocus my thoughts and in turn my energy to appreciate what I have and where I have come from. It’s easy to get lost in where you are trying to go and finding ways to obtain that. Gratitude manifests grace and that is what got me to where I am. There is no need to feel pressure of any sort or to rush my path. Taking my time and appreciating life around me are key factors in what changed my life. When praises go up, blessings come down. I am grateful for progress, rest, and the difficult times because they continue to teach me lessons that will catapult me higher.
