“Having contentment and gratitude in the present moment is the surest way to achieve success.” ― Bryant McGill

When grace guides our thoughts and actions, our success will be fulfilling and meaningful. Today’s meditation shows us how the practice of gratitude can guide our success in an intelligent and compassionate direction. This type of success is different from the ego-driven success which seeks to hold, control, and keep the object of desire as a way to feel better about itself.

However, if your success is driven from gratitude and grace in your heart, then you are connected to your true self and your success always feels complete and fulfilling.

CENTERING THOUGHT: I find true success through inner fulfillment.

SANSKRIT MANTRA: Om Kleem Shreem (I attract all divine abundance and blessings).

1.) State your idea of personal success in terms of inner qualities. For example, characteristics such as self-confidence, truthfulness, integrity, respect, loyalty, inner peace, insight, or creativity.

  • Self awareness
  • Self confidence
  • Integrity
  • Willingness to serve others
  • Respect (Coming and going)
  • Insight
  • Inner peace
  • Firm in my decisions
  • Saying what I mean, meaning what I say
  • Abundant creativity
  • Tenacity

2.) Write down three moments in your life when these qualities were called upon and you showed them.

  1. Deciding it was time to make a change in my life and sticking to it.
  2. Taking the leap of faith and starting my business.
  3. Not quitting no matter what has come my way.

3.) Write about three situations in the past where you could have better represented these positive qualities. Now, describe what you could have done differently to turn the situation around. This is key for positive change in the future.

  1. Acting out of character because of things people have said or done to me.
  2. Trying to prove a point.
  3. Not owning up to my mistakes.

All of these things are direct by products of not knowing nor being confident in myself. When I am not confident in myself or my abilities I tend to engage in activities and interactions with others that are not healthy for me and the vision that I have for my life. It all starts with self love and awareness and trickles from there.

4.) Daily Reflection:

I am fully aware of the person I am the person I want to become. The vision that I have for my life is already set in motion and I am confident that I am on the right path, the path that is destined for me. I act with integrity and I speak with confidence when necessary. I own up to my mistakes and accept the things that come with them. I forgive others for the negativity they attempt to place in or around my life and I honor myself and my path by not doing the same no matter what is done to me. I am already successful and I will continue to be so. There are no limits and grace will continue to catapult me forward.
