Today’s meditation teaches us that as life becomes lighter, you open a channel for the light to enter you. This is the light of awareness, freedom, truth, and love. The greatest influence you can possibly have is to radiate your own being from the level of the true self. It’s not out of duty that we let our light shine, but because it’s our joy to bring light into the world.

CENTERING THOUGHT: I offer my light to everyone.

1.) Think back to one small burden or piece of self-judgment that was eased today or yesterday. Journal about how that happened and congratulate yourself for this victory.

Today just like a few days here and there as of late, I woke up in a terrible mood. So much that I couldn’t even recognize the beautiful mood that someone important to me was in. Without warning and not intentionally I completely shifted their mood and was willing to continue carrying on this energy. I can’t yet can congratulate myself on easing this negative energy because the other party involved took the higher road and choose to move forward. In doing so I felt completely like an ass and as it progressed my day got tremendously better. However, before the close of the day, I chose to dump more negative energy onto someone else that I love. It didn’t happen in the same night but the next day I took it upon myself to apologize. I can congratulate myself for this because it was very hard for me but it was necessary. It’s easy to buy things and show people you’re sorry but sometimes it can be so difficult to open your mouth to utter the words, “I’m sorry”. I’m thankful for the courage to acknowledge when I’m wrong and strength to verbalize that not just for myself but mainly for those who I may offend or hurt.

2.) Describe the next small victory you want to achieve and why. For example, you might be more forgiving about your weight or more appreciative of who you are right now.

The next small victory I want to achieve is to complete these two projects that I have been working on. In doing so I want to give myself the permission to be fearless and great. I want to live up to my potential and fulfill my destiny. I want to be unbothered by things that don’t matter and solely focused on the things that do. I want to give love and I want to receive love, pure love. I want to forgive and I want to be forgiven. I just want to be an overall good person.

3.) Write about how you can bring more light and love to those close to you. For example, you might listen with more sympathy and notice positive things when you see them instead of letting them pass.

As I stated to some of my loved ones recently I just feel we all have to be a little more understanding of one another. Realize that we are all people, people that are going through things, have been through things. And just the same way that someone may need your help and you turn your back on them, the very same can happen to you when you need it most. Be the light, give the love…it always comes back.

4.) Daily Reflection:

Having been on both ends of the spectrum; having and giving…then not having and not having anyone or very few that chose to give to me, I was awakened to a lot. My giving and its dynamics have limits but my love does not. I can love from afar without allowing certain things to penetrate my life and aura. I can wish people the best even when I don’t like their ways. Its not my job to like how someone else lives their life, but it is my duty to give love and well wishes to them on their journey. Instead of picking through peoples lives and attempting to find discrepancies we should just sometimes mind our business. We should give people the same respect that we would like to have when it comes to our lives. I want to give love even when it hurts, when its most uncomfortable. I want the love that I have inside of me to override all the dark moments and thoughts that may arise. I want to not have disdain in my heart for anyone and I want to be free of all of the things that are blocking my growth and creativity. If I am a hinderance to anyone I want to be removed from their lives or either have my presence in their lives bring peace and not confusion.
