It is not limited to artistic expression. Living from your creative core means you respond to every moment from a place of possibility and openness. This is how every cell of our body knows to respond to every changing circumstance with adaptability and creativity to maintain its health and balance. In today’s meditation, we learn that our awareness is designed to meet each moment with freshness, receptivity, and creativity. “Getting Unstuck: Creating A Limitless Life” is a 21-Day Guided Meditation created by Oprah Winfrey & Deepak Chopra, to learn more click here. CENTERING THOUGHT: I always have access to my inner creativity. SANSKRIT MANTRA: Ananta Swa Brava (My true self has no limits or boundaries.) 1.) Reflect on a challenge in life that makes you feel stuck. Choose something familiar that comes up every day. Write down this specific challenge, your usual response to it, and then describe how this response is keeping you stuck. Sometimes my ideas and vision tend to exceed my resources at times. This isn’t a bad thing by far because you are supposed to give yourself time and space to grow into your dreams. Frustration can sometimes set in due to the fact that we are human and tend to want everything right now. Living in a world where we have access to so many things and are able to observe others progress at what seems to be rapid speeds, we can naturally want to obtain manifestation without respecting the process. There are times when I plan for things to happen and more times than not they never go in the order in which I plan. This can trickle into every day life in the forms of simple things like wanting to go out and/or wanting to purchase things knowing that it isn’t in your best interest. Waiting for resources will not get the work accomplished. Working while waiting on the resources that are meant for you almost always yields you the things that are meant for you, when they are destined to enter your life. I remind myself of this by keeping in mind that when I started my business, I had absolutely no money and very little to my name. I built what I have piece by piece until it accumulated into what I have today. I must never forget this; I have to carry this same mentality and tenacity to grow what I’ve built into what I envision it to be. Often times we can gain traction in life or work and become complacent or just feel that opportunities and resources will be placed at our feet. This couldn’t be anymore wrong. Starting something is easy, maintaining that something is far more work. Then factoring in a desire to grow it or yourself, you essentially have more than a full time job. Based on my personal experiences, you’re blessed when you work. Be that work mental, emotional, or physical you must continue to move. If you are unable to figure out which way to go it is perfectly fine to be still. However in that stillness you must feed your mind and spirit in turn enhancing your creativity thus manifesting creation. With creation comes blessings. The cycle can repeat itself continuously in your favor or not simply based on the actions that you take as well as the mentality you carry with you on a daily basis. 2.) See in your mind’s eye someone else in the same situation who is handling it well, without being stuck. Journal about how this person responds differently from you. For example, “She stays calm,” “Her buttons aren’t pushed,” “She’s not resentful,” or “She doesn’t blame someone else.” It’s easy to say what someone is or isn’t doing based on outer appearances or knowledge of what they may go through in their personal time and space. With that being said there are some individuals that are very tenacious in their endeavors and their personal lives that I observe and make mental notes about often. From what I have observed and feel, these individuals are relentless. They are relentless in their belief of self, their committal to their dreams, and they rarely seem to feel shame. When I speak of shame I speak of the shame that can come with perceived failures, lack of support, or just simply committing and pursuing your dreams and goals. 3.) Having seen that it is possible to face the situation without being stuck, write down two ways that you can do the same. Some examples are, “I can walk away when I feel agitated or angry,” “I can apologize for some of the things I’ve done to contribute to the situation,” or “I can listen more.” Taking time to myself usually works for me regardless of the situation be it personal or professional. Through this so many questions are answered and I am able to determine the direction I should move going forward. Staying grounded and centered allows me to make better decisions on a practical level that tend to trickle into all aspects of my life and in turn enhance my creativity. This allows me to be productive, manifest, and give my gifts to the World. Be confident in the decisions that I make, the moves I don’t make, and the things that I share with the World. 4.) Daily Reflection: Creativity always dwells within us. Sometimes we use it for purposeful things, there’s times we use it to manipulate situations & people, and other times we simply can’t seem to tap into it. The times where we seemingly have a hard time tapping into the unlimited creativity that dwells within, we must simply look at ourselves and our lives. We must take responsibility for the decisions that we have made that led to the current burdens that block said creativity from coming forth. It’s hard to be creative when you are worried about bills but if you are more wise with your money, bills wouldn’t be an issue impeding your mind from being open. Creativity may be hard to tap into if you cannot tell your friends and associates no when it’s time to hangout and you wake up every day hungover. You can waste the following day just attempting to feel “normal” again disrupting your routine of productivity. No one has to walk your path or live your life but you. People will guilt trip you to accommodate the things that they wish to do to escape their realities but when you are in the business of shaping your own reality you have to actively make the proper decisions to manifest the vision you have for yourself and your purpose. Creativity never dies, it just sometimes lays dormant. Never give up on your ideas and most importantly yourself. Protect yourself, your finances, your mind, and your spirit. Granted you can do all of these things and unexpected things can occur. This is why we must be more financially literate. We must save and we have to get out of the notions that we are and can be fulfilled by things and meaningless movement. Creativity isn’t fueled by those things if anything those things can kill your creativity. Once you find yourself on a path, one that has manifested great things for you, you must never stray from the things that got you there. The mentalities, the decision making, or whatever it is that worked for your growth. You will not be blessed with more if you get complacent because you’re further along than where you once were. The methods may change as you grow and rise in yourself but the basic fundamental things that can change or may have changed your life will always remain the same. Never forget that and just in case you do, write them down. Place them somewhere that you can be reminded often. Creativity never dies; we must make sure we live a life that is conducive to our creativity and not one that silences the wondrous ideas that float in our minds. Work as if you have nothing and never ignore the ideas that you are blessed with. Affirmed: My creativity is endless. The resources and assistance that I need will be placed at my feet so long as I work and cultivate my ideas daily. My needs are met and my ideas are fruitful and plentiful. “Getting Unstuck: Creating A Limitless Life” is a 21-Day Guided Meditation created by Oprah Winfrey & Deepak Chopra, to learn more click here.
